Miguel de Jesus - Street skating with the new Undercover Richie Eisler wheels www.shop-task.com from Miguel de Jesus on Vimeo.
Being a longtime supporter of Eulogy wheels, I was very hesitant to switch to something new especially when I was very content with what I had under my feet.
Undercover wheels always appealed to me. They always seemed to make any set up look good, and I knew they provided a lot of grip, but I still held back from getting my first set and trying them for myself.
I’ve heard countless stories from friends about undercover wheels de-coring or cracking after just a couple of sessions, but after seeing the new 2011 line of wheels at the shop, and listening to Leon talk about how UC had fixed the de-coring problems, I decided to pick up a set. If any wheel could sustain his weight then it was worth checking out.
I went with the the new Undercover Richie Eisler’s. They come in 58mm. Good sized wheel for keeping your speed up heading into/out of a trick. They’re a hard wheel (90a), and I’ve found them to be the grippiest wheel I’ve ever skated. I sessioned SKATEBARN (which i find to have the slickest floors) for my first session on them and didn’t slip out at all.
Ive cruised the streets of vancouver, bombed hills, dragging my wheels to slow down, and they’re in great shape. Been riding them for about a month now and haven’t rotated them yet.
Im also really enjoying the wide profile that the Eilser’s come in. I’m use to the narrow Eulogy Lievano’s and even that little bit of extra surface area has been a fun change.
They’re priced at $39.99 and right now SHOP-TASK has a sweet Eisler/THEM bearings combo for $59.99 So far the best wheels I’ve ever ridden, and i encourage everyone to give them a try.
Thanks to Travis Nabe for the pizza……and filming this thing….but mostly the pizza.

Hey guys, Mike D here with a park Richie Eisler Under Cover wheel
review. I noticed Miguel had posted a street wheel review a few days
ago and I have been sitting on some park footage for a while and decided
to make a park wheel review.
I too, have been a long time supported of Eulogy wheels and after many
people ranting and raving about undercover's new line I had to try them
out.
The wheel is big and fast and like Miguel said, grips anything it
touches. I found the base of the wheel to be wide enough to make
landings solid but narrow enough for making turns easy. It is also a
hard wheel so you know it will last.
The 58mm 90a wheels are a great all round wheel that will
stand up to the punishment you dish out. Now get some new wheels for
summer and shred!
Peace until next time.
